SSR Photo Rejuvenation
SSR is used for the treatment of aging, marked and sun damaged skin, uneven skin tone, pigmentation and rosacea, visible capillaries, large pores, freckles and fine lines. Light energy is absorbed into particular target cells with colour (chromophores) in the skin. The light energy is converted to heat energy and causes damage to the specific target areas, which are then reabsorbed by the body to even skin tone and minimise blemishes.
SSR treatments will help restore younger, more beautiful looking skin, full of health and vitality. The most commonly treated areas are face, neck, chest, arms and hands. The sensation during treatment is described as a ‘hot pinch’ or ‘snapping’ feeling. This sensation only lasts for a fraction of a second and warmth and/or a tingling sensation is experienced for a short time afterward.
The number of sessions required varies and depends on the condition being treated but typically a progressive series of 3-6 treatments at 3-4 week intervals is recommended.

SHR Hair Removal
SHR provides extremely effective non-invasive, permanent hair reduction. The IP light is focused through the skin and absorbed by the pigment of each hair follicle, and this causes the hair follicles to be progressively damaged so that the hair can no longer grow. Super Hair Removal Technology (SHR) Lasers are a revolutionary new method for permanent hair removal that are virtually pain & side effect free. This is the newest generation of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) systems, which produce a precise beam of light energy. It safely transmits through the skin, selectively targeting pigment in the hair follicles. When this light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicle of the hair, it converts to heat, which in turn causes thermal damage to the follicle and permanently destroys the hair. The heat also disables the cells responsible for new hair growth. In comparison to other slightly dated laser and IPL methods, SHR provides faster, safer and pain free hair reduction treatment.
The large surface area covered by the specialized hand-pieces enables fast and effective treatments. With no post-treatment discomfort, it’s easy to receive treatments at lunch and then return to the office that afternoon. Treatments are effective without the requirement to have hair grow out before the treatment. By utilizing low heat, SHR treatment can be effective on tanned skin.
The sensation of the treatment is often referred to as a gentle ‘snap’ with minimal to no sensation subsequent to the treatment. In some cases, dependent on the procedure, skin type, and the treatment area, clients experience some mild redness and tenderness in the area, which does not interfere with normal activities and usually subsides within a day.
Multiple treatments are required to accomplish permanent hair reduction. An average course of 6-8 treatments at 4-10 week intervals is required, depending on the treatment area.

Intense Pulsed Laser (IPL) treatment helps to diminish the appearance of certain types of veins with no incisions, no downtime, and minimal discomfort. IPL can clear away superficial vascular skin imperfections including broken vessels, and spider veins. Pulses of light target broken vessels at the surface of your skin without harming surrounding tissue. As a result, you enjoy clearer skin that looks younger and fresher.
Depending on the area treated, vessels may disappear immediately, while some lesions especially those found on the lower legs can take longer (up to 10 weeks in some cases) to disappear completely. Typically 3 to 5 treatments are needed for maximum results, though small lesions may clear in just a single session. Repeat treatments are usually spaced every 3 to 4 weeks.

Whether you suffer from active inflammatory acne or lingering scars, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment is a safe, non-surgical method for significantly improving the condition of your skin. IPL treatments are becoming widely recognised as an effective solution for those suffering from mild to moderate inflammatory acne. During IPL treatments, short pulses of intense light are emitted from an applicator onto your skin. To treat acne, specific wavelengths of light are produced by the IPL system. The light and heat energy penetrate into the pores and induce the release of chemicals (free oxygen radicals). It stimulates porphyrin to eliminate Propionibacterium acnes (P. acne’s) bacteria, treats inflamed sebaceous glands that contribute to breakouts and coagulates the blood vessels of acne lesions.
Besides clearing up pustules and active inflammation, IPL has the added benefit of improving the appearance of facial scarring, which is an unfortunate but common outcome of chronic acne. Acne scarring can affect both the color and texture of the skin. Scars may appear as small dents in the skin’s surface or as raised scar tissue. In either case, scarring often creates uneven pigmentation in the form of redness or dark spots. Because IPL can target pigment cells specifically, it can be effective for evening out discolouration, which dramatically reduces the visibility of acne scars and gives the appearance of a more uniform skin surface. IPL does not smooth out raised scars or decrease the depth of indented scars.
For effective treatment of acne most patients require 3 to 5 IPL treatments. The treatments are performed at 3 to 5 week intervals.

This is an effective alternative to more expensive and more invasive procedures. It is an effective, non-surgical way to exfoliate the top layers of the skin. No chemicals or laser beams are used. Our professionally trained, clinical staff target a stream of fine crystals over the area to abrade away old, dead skin cells, which the vacuum then picks up with gentle suction. The treatment provides effective exfoliation and rejuvenation of the superficial layers of the skin, leaving it smooth and fresh. Microdermabrasion also stimulates collagen production, helping your skin rejuvenate faster than normal. Also called the lunchtime peel, microdermabrasion is fast, effective and has no downtime.
It has proven to be effective in the treatment of the following conditions: fine lines; enlarged or clogged pores; mild acne and complexion issues; sun damage; superficial age spots; scaly skin lesions also called keratoses; hyper-pigmentation; uneven skin tone; oily skin; dry/patchy skin; acne scarring; black/white heads; stretch marks; dull, lifeless skin.
If you are looking to ‘freshen up’ tired or aging skin, facial microdermabrasion is a chemical free solution that is suitable for all skin types.

Hydrodermabrasion is an advanced exfoliating and re-oxygenating method. Instead of using small particles, it uses oxygen and water to improve skin imperfections, scarring and pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. It has the extra benefit of moisturising the new layer of skin underneath the old one, leading to less swelling and redness, and longer lasting results. The process facilitates hydration and purifying of the treated area, opens access to the skin’s inner layers, allowing for deeper cleansing.
This technology therefore offers a powerful alternative to other, more abrasive or invasive procedures with no pain or downtime. Hyrdrodermabrasion is commonly used on the face, neck & décolletage areas. However, it can be easily administered to any body area that requires smoothing, deep cleansing and hydration such as the hands & feet, chest & back areas, and even the elbows!
